Planting strawberries on agrofibre will be an excellent opportunity to greatly facilitate the cultivation of strawberries in home gardens and on an industrial scale. care for such beds will be much easier, because there will be practically no weeds and entrenched "whiskers".

Agrofibre perfectly passes water, the soil under it does not moldy and is not compacted. This environmentally friendly and completely safe for plants and people coverage allows you to maintain optimal air and water regime of the soil, significantly reducing the amount of watering. The use of agrofibre for mulching requires additional costs, but this coating can be used for several years.

Device beds for "lazy"

For the device beds need agrofibre, strawberry seedlings, shovel, knife, wire to secure the coating. The area of agrofibre should coincide with the size of the future beds.

A place to plant strawberries should be sunny. Since the agrofibre has a width of 1.5 meters, it is desirable that the width of the bed is 1.5 m or be a multiple of this value. In this case, the coating strips will overlap.

The soil should be digged to a sufficient depth (the bed will not be dug over for several years) and carefully leveled with a rake.

The next step is the laying and fixing of the agrofiber coating. For fixing studs are used. They are made of pieces of wire with a length of about 60 -70 cm, which are bent in the shape of a letter P. Next, they lay the agrofiber, pressing the corners with stones, boards or other materials. If several strips of material are used, their overlap should be no less than 20 cm. After that, the agrofibres are evenly fastened with pins.

If the area allotted for planting strawberries is large, then for convenience you need to arrange several tracks. The scheme of their location may be different - it all depends on the shape of the beds. The tracks will serve as additional fixation of the coating, especially when using several bands of agrofibre. In this case, the ideal option would be tracks at the joints.

Strawberries under the agrofibre will bear fruit for a long time, if the planting material is not an adult plant, but rooted mustaches.

On the coating mark the place of planting strawberries with chalk or other means, make a cross with a sharp knife. Turning the corners out, plant bushes into the holes, after which the corners turn inward.

When planting, it is not necessary to deepen seedlings unnecessarily - the socket must be located at ground level. Planted strawberries need to be watered.

In order for the strawberry under the agrofiber to give a high yield, it is necessary to produce regular watering, fertilizing with soluble fertilizers, as well as the removal of dry foliage and mustache in the autumn.
