How to grow white fungus in the country? Such a question is increasingly being asked by gardeners who are tired of constantly going to the forest for mushrooms. It is so convenient to have a mycelium in the plot, which constantly brings in a harvest of healthy mushrooms!
Cultivation of white mushrooms in the country is a simple process, if you approach it wisely.
What to consider
Before you start growing these valuable mushrooms in your summer cottage, you should familiarize yourself with some of the features. As a rule, white mushrooms in the wild grow in coniferous and mixed forests. Mycelium perfectly interact with the roots of these trees. Therefore, white mushrooms found on a clear meadow is almost unreal.
This must be taken into account before placing mycelium on your site. It is best to do this in a place where at least one small Christmas tree or pine grows. Not only mushrooms will constantly appear under such trees, but all the other plants around will feel comfortable. After all, pine resin and substances secreted into the air by this tree, kill all the harmful bacteria.
All white mushrooms tolerate very bad fruit trees in the neighborhood. And often the mycelium simply does not survive and die on the ground near such trees.
Be sure to take this into account and locate the mycelium at least near the wooden pine buildings or under the bushes, if there are no necessary trees nearby.
How to grow white mushrooms
Cultivation of white mushrooms in summer cottages can be done in several ways. And you need to choose the most suitable option for yourself. Now consider some of the most simple and at the same time simple ways to grow white mushrooms at home.
How to grow white fungus directly under the tree? Consider that the mycelium should be placed under the same kind of tree from which it was previously dug in the forest. Otherwise, nothing happens.
First you should remove the top layer of soil around the tree. This should be done within a radius of not more than 0.7 m from the trunk. It is recommended to remove the soil to a depth of about 25-30 cm. Now it is necessary to fill in the resulting hole and evenly distribute the previously prepared organic material from the excavated soil, leaves or needles and pieces of tree bark, under which you plan to breed mushrooms.
Now you can lay a thin layer of mycelium and sprinkle it on top of a mixture of loose earth with sand and leaves or needles. Strongly powdered and trampled should not be. It remains only to pour all the top of the watering can and wait for the first harvest.
The second option, how to grow porcini mushrooms, is to breed fresh hats. This is a simpler method, but in most cases, the crop has to wait a little longer. For breeding do not need to dig in the forest completely mycelium or part thereof. It will be enough to collect at least 10 mushrooms, the diameter of the caps of which is 10-15 cm.
It is best to check the fruit bodies immediately so that they are not too wormy. Ideally, when breaking off a piece of a cap, you will see juicy flesh of a green shade. If there are several worms or insects on the mushroom - it is not scary.
The main thing is not to be completely wormy. Under the same trees where the mushrooms will be collected, you should collect a few twigs, leaves, needles and soil. All this is useful for the subsequent cultivation of mushrooms on the site.
This method of cultivation is also called sowing. First you need to prepare the material for planting. To do this, all collected fruit bodies should be lightly rinsed in water, and then put soak in a bucket with rain or spring water. On the next day, you need to knead everything thoroughly with your hands so that you get a homogeneous mush. But practice shows that everything is never done perfectly. Therefore, it is additionally recommended to once again pass the kneaded pulp through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
Using the same sieve (gauze), separate the pulp from the water. Sowing material and spore fluid are now ready. It remains only to prepare a place. To do this, around the tree, slightly loosen the top layer of soil, then pour it with the obtained mushroom water. When the liquid is absorbed into the soil, sprinkle evenly the pulp of mushrooms. All this should be sprinkled on top of the earth from under the same tree and once again watered with a small amount of water so as not to clog the soil.
To make the mushrooms grow as fast as possible, try to constantly moisten the soil. But it is also impossible to overdo it with water.
The optimal amount of liquid per tree is about 4 buckets. It is advisable to water the mycelium with water of the same temperature as the surrounding air.

What else to remember
What you need to grow white mushrooms in the greenhouse? The answer to this question is quite simple. Nothing special! Growing in a greenhouse implies the same actions, only when doing so the mycelium should additionally be covered with a special material that allows light and air to pass through.
Growing in a greenhouse should be carried out in the cold season and in the summer when the nights are cold (it is recommended to cover the ground with a garden wrap, first sprinkling the mycelium with needles or small sprigs and leaves). In the warm season, the greenhouse can not do, as the mushrooms themselves must take root and begin to grow rapidly and multiply in the area.
It must be remembered that usually after planting mycelium in the ground, the first crop appears only the next year. Therefore, one should not expect that the mushrooms will start growing in the same season. After all, the mycelium must take root in a new place, adapt to the conditions. If we are talking about planting white mushrooms with the help of fruit bodies, which was already mentioned a little higher, then the harvest can be expected to take 2 years, as the disputes should be developed enough to grow and turn into delicious mushrooms.
Growing white fungus in the country is not so difficult if you follow all the above tips. It needs only a little attention and patience, then on the site it will be possible to constantly collect porcini mushrooms, which are very useful and fragrant. Just be extremely careful. Do not confuse white mushrooms with others, so as not to place in your area mycelium or fruiting bodies with spores of poisonous or inedible mushrooms.
