Your child may be eligible for free or low-cost health insurance that pays for visits to the doctor and dentist, stays in the hospital, eyeglasses, prescriptions, and more.

Eligibility depends mainly on two things.
1. Children under 19 are eligible.
2. Your income must fall within these guidelines:

    If your entire family needs free or low-cost health insurance

  • Low income families may be eligible for Medicaid. Medicaid has a good benefits package and no premiums or cost sharing. There is no job search or work requirement. You must complete the State's "Application for Benefits" and mail it or take it to a local State office. Click here to get an application that you can print out.
